06. Hemp MARZIPAN_1000 — Same Taste, 88% Less Climate Impact

Hemp MARZIPAN_1000. Classic Taste. A Fraction of the Footprint.

Same indulgent marzipan flavour. Same smooth, pliable texture. Same formability in your production line. But made from Swedish organic hemp hearts instead of imported almonds — cutting the climate footprint by 88% while delivering dramatically better nutrition.

Hemp MARZIPAN_1000 is a direct drop-in replacement for almond marzipan in commercial bakery and confectionery production. Your customers taste marzipan. Your supply chain loses 4.75 kg CO₂ per kilo.

The Taste

The classic marzipan note is unmistakable. A trace of natural bitter almond oil delivers the familiar flavour profile, while Hemp_HEARTS_1000 provides a rich, creamy base with a subtle nuttiness that complements rather than competes. The texture is smooth, plastic and fully formable — it pipes, rolls, cuts and moulds exactly as your production expects.

For nut-free production environments, the bitter almond oil can be replaced with vanilla extract and a touch of tonka bean — maintaining indulgence without any tree nut contact.

88% Lower Climate Footprint

Estimated CO₂ equivalents per 1 kg finished product:

- Hemp MARZIPAN_1000: ~0.65 kg CO₂e

- Almond Marzipan: ~5.4 kg CO₂e

Almonds are among the most water-intensive and carbon-heavy crops in agriculture — imported from drought-stressed monocultures in California and Southern Spain. Swedish hemp requires no irrigation, no pesticides, sequesters carbon during growth, and is cultivated and processed entirely in Sweden. The result is a marzipan with the same taste and an 88% smaller raw material footprint.

Better Nutrition in Every Way

Per 100 g finished product, compared to conventional almond marzipan (50/50 almond/sugar):

Protein: 23.2 g vs 9.0 g (+156%) More than double the protein — turning a confectionery ingredient into a genuine nutritional contributor.

Sugar: 20.6 g vs 48.0 g (−57%) Less than half the sugar. Naturally drives lower sugar content in finished bakery products — semla, pastries, cakes, confectionery.

Omega-3: 6.9 g vs trace One of the only confectionery ingredients that naturally delivers significant omega-3. Completely absent in almond marzipan.

Zero Allergens

Free from all 14 EU-declarable allergens — including tree nuts. This opens market segments that almond marzipan physically cannot enter: schools, hospitals, airlines, allergy-friendly retail lines, and institutional catering where nut-free is a requirement, not a preference.

Four Ingredients. Clean Label.
